Located in southern New South Wales, Wagga Wagga is a vibrant regional city nestled on the banks of the magnificent Murrumbidgee River. With an urban population of more than 64,000 people, it is the largest inland city in New South Wales. The rental market can be difficult to enter during the peak posting season as Wagga is not only home to Defence but also Charles Sturt University. Wagga has 21 suburbs which all offer something different depending on what type of lifestyle you are looking for. There is significant growth occurring in the outer suburbs of Wagga. Popular suburbs are Tatton, Bourkelands, Forest Hill, Estella, and Lloyd. Kapooka is also popular for families posted to Blamey Barracks as it located directly outside the front gate of the base. Travel time from any of the suburbs to another is no greater than 20 minutes by car.
