The Defence Special Needs Support Group through its For Your Information Program is pleased to offer DSNSG families living in Tamworth and Singleton areas the opportunity to attend the following workshop at the reduced cost of only $50.00 per person.

Teaching Strategies and Behaviour Support with Sue Larkey on Tuesday 13th May, 2014 at West Diggers, 4 Kable Street, Tamworth from 9.30am – 3.00pm

Tamworth is the home of the Australian Country Musical Festival held each year in January. We are about a 5 hour drive to Sydney and about a 6 hour drive to Brisbane.  Our major Defence establishments are the 12th/16th Hunter River Lancers, Australian Defence Force Pilot Selection Agency and ADF Basic Flying Training School.

Singleton is located in the heart of the Hunter Valley and is just over an hour from Newcastle and 2.5 hours from Sydney.  The major Defence establishment at Singleton is Lone Pine Barracks.

Families with special needs posting into either area need to be aware that resources, services and support for their special needs maybe limited. It is recommended that you put in place a Posting Plan with the DSNSG National Coordinator or contact the National Office on 1800 037 674  if you are considering a posting to this location.
