Hi and welcome to the Newcastle area. My name is Tahlia Macpherson and I am the local Coordinator for the Williamtown area.

Newcastle is the capital of the Hunter Valley and is Australia’s second oldest city and Australia’s sixth largest.  The main Defence establishments are RAAF Base Williamtown and Bullecourt Barracks at Adamstown.

DSNSG Williamtown supports Defence families with special needs in the Newcastle, Adamstown, Maitland and Port  Stephens  areas.  Our group holds regular coffee mornings and family and social events and by linking in to us, you have access to the wider support, information and assistance that is available throughout our network.

For more information about the Hunter region, have a look at the handy Your Community section on the Defence Community Organisation website.  If you are interested in attending upcoming Defence Community Organisation events in your area, please visit the Events page.  You can also find comprehensive resources available for download from the Resources page.

For more information about what we are doing in this area and when the next event or coffee and chat is please contact me on 0428387452 or please give the National Office a call on 1800 037 674 or to email me please click on this link email
