Darwin

Hi and welcome to Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory.  My name is Kate Batty and I am your local Defence Special Needs Coordinator for the Darwin and Palmerston areas.

Darwin is the main gateway to explore some of the best natural and cultural attractions the Northern Territory has to offer.

The major Defence establishments in the Darwin Area are Larrakeyah Barracks, RAAF Base Darwin, Darwin Naval Base, HMAS Coonawarra and Robertson Barracks, the home of the 1st Brigade located in Palmerston, some 25kms away.

Our group holds regular coffee mornings and family events and by linking in to us, you have access to the wider support, information and assistance that is available throughout our network.

For more information about the Darwin region, have a look at the handy Your Community section on the Defence Community Organisation website.  If you are interested in attending upcoming Defence Community Organisation events in your area, please visit the Events page.  You can also find comprehensive resources available for download from the Resources page.

For more information about what we are doing in this area and when the next event or coffee and chat is please contact me on 0456617942 or please give the National Office a call on 1800 037 674.  Please feel free to email me to find out what else we are doing and to go on our mailing list.
