Hi and welcome to Puckapunyal.
My name is Maryann Carr and I am the DSNSG Coordinator for Puckapunyal.
Puckapunyal is located about 8 kms east of the town of Seymour and 100 kms from Melbourne. The Base was established in 1939 and for many years it was the largest Army Camp in Australia.
Families with special needs posting into the area need to be aware that resources, services and support for their special needs may be limited. It is recommended that you put in place a Posting Plan with the DSNSG National Coordinator or contact the National Office on 1800 037 674 if you are considering a posting to this location.
By linking in to us, you have access to the wider support, information and assistance that is available throughout our network.
For more information about the Puckapunyal region, have a look at the handy Your Community section on the Defence Community Organisation website. If you are interested in attending upcoming Defence Community Organisation events in your area, please visit the Events page. You can also find comprehensive resources available for download from the Resources page.
