Hi and welcome to the Amberley area, my name is Kirsten Pini and I am your local coordinator for Amberley.

DSNSG Amberley covers families living in the Ipswich and surrounding areas including Forest Lake and Springfields Lakes.

Ipswich is situated only about 45 minutes west of Brisbane and is the location of RAAF Base Amberley, the largest operational base in Australia.

Families with special needs moving into this area need to be aware that where they are housed may affect the type of services and support they require with certain locations being in the Ipswich region and other  locations in the Brisbane region.  It is recommended that you put in place a Posting Plan with the DSNSG National Coordinator or contact the National Office on 1800 037 674  if you are considering a posting to this location.

For more information about the Amberley and Ipswich region, have a look at the handy Your Community section on the Defence Community Organisation website.  If you are interested in attending upcoming Defence Community Organisation events in your area, please visit the Events page.  You can also find comprehensive resources available for download from the Resources page.

For more information about what we are doing in this area and when the next event or coffee and chat is please contact me on 0400278770 or please give the National Office a call on 1800 037 674  or email us to find out what is happening in the area and to go on our mailing list.
