Hi my name is Jade Tinney and I am your local Defence Special Needs Coordinator for the Woodside area.

Woodside is a small town in the Adelaide Hills and is approximately 45 minutes from Adelaide.  The major Defence establishment in the area is Woodside Barracks.  The Base was originally established in 1927 and was used for the training of light horse and  infantry units.  During the Second World War, battalions of the Second  Australian Military Force were formed.  The Base also provided temporary accommodation for US Forces.  Woodside Barracks is now the home of the 16 Air Defence Regiment.

For families posted into the Woodside area, services and supports can be limited depending on where you choose your Service Residence.  For more information, please give us a call.

Our group holds regular coffee mornings and family events and by linking in to us, you have access to the wider support, information and assistance that is available throughout our network.  For more information about the area have a look at the handy ‘Welcome to South Australia’ booklet compiled by DCO.

Please email me to find out what else we are doing and to go on our mailing list.
